TSU balls – An HTML experiment

A little something different

After joining toysoldiersunite.com, I created something in HTML5.

This was the first thing I created for the TSU and I had a lot of fun doing it.
It was also the first HTML5 experiment I took apart and recreated in order to get a better grasp of the HTML5 experience!

The balls in questions are based on a Google Chrome experiment that I enjoyed a lot!
After taking the code apart, I managed to grab some vector file for use with this nice piece of work.
The voctor files allowed me to scale the balls without losing quality!

Things I’ve learned

  • Working with the HTML Canvas element
  • Writing in advanced JavaScript without the jQuery library
  • The advantages behind vector images
  • A bit of sience behind the friction and restitution slider
